Clear density

Film sound mixing rule that apply across the colour spectrum to reach a dense but still clear mix.

  1. One layer of “violet” dialogue
  2. One layer of “red” music
  3. One layer of “cool” linguistic sound effects
  4. One layer of “warm” musical sound effects
  5. One layer of “yellow” centaur sound effects

Characteristics:

  • Can provide an optimum amount of audio information to the spectator
  • Once the five layers are passed, the suppression of a layer is required to add another
