Elimination

Elimination refers to the absence of vocal sound even with visual signal. It could also be said to be a vococentrist null extension.

Characteristics:

  • Can be a powerful subjective and/or semantic tool as part of the narrative
  • Spatial cues reside solely in visuals, sound effects and ambiance sounds
