Temporal window within the diegesis that reveal a future event to the spectators

Characteristics:

  • Provide additional information to the audience
  • If used offscreen, the spectators can potentially need the combination of another effect to understand clearly the temporal ellipsis
  • Can be done through sound only with the use of proliferation
