Impact sound

Impulsive sound usually expected through visuals or context. Ex: punches, car doors, hammers, etc…


  • Can work offscreen if a character reacts onscreen
  • If no characters react onscreen, the point of impact will be lost visually. It will also create a state of anticipation in its listener through the Eye-follow-ear effect.
